We have been fortunate to work with many international publishers and licenses over the years and have enjoyed many years of partnership and good friendships along the way. There have been some difficult times too, none more so than the illness and sad passing of former co-founder Lynne Morton back in 2015. Whilst business continued, what followed was largely a period of reflection and partial hibernation for many of the books. However, in 2020 after a reunion and some excitable conversations, Brainwaves Books re-emerged with a new partnership between co-founder Keith Faulkner and Karen Giles, with enthusiastic plans to re-launch some of the hidden treasure chest of books which have spent the last few years enjoying the views from a lakeside shed guarded by Archie, a lovable poodle. Inside is packed with an array of clever and innovative novelty titles, with concepts waiting to be re-discovered and some new ideas and formats in the wings. One of our most popular and best-selling pop-up titles is The Wide-Mouthed Frog and 2021 marked its 25th Anniversary, so the timing was perfect for this to lead introduction to our wide range of pop-ups and all things novelty!
